    • QuickBooks Transaction Log (TLG) file
    • QuickBooks Network Descriptor (ND) file
    • QuickBooks Data Source Name (DSN) file
    • Your QuickBooks Company file is damaged

How To Resolve QuickBooks Error -6000, -301?

Solution 1: Rename the QuickBooks support files

  • Go to the folder that has your company files.
  • Search for files with the identical name as your QuickBooks file but with extensions .tlg.ndand/or .dsn.
  • Rename the files by right-clicking on it.
  • Add the word .OLD to each of them.

Note: Renaming these files would not affect your QuickBooks as they are automatically created by QuickBooks.

Solution 4: Update QuickBooks Desktop To The Latest Release

  1. Go to QuickBooks Help menu > Update QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Update QuickBooks window > Update Now
  3. Don’t make any changes to the table.
  4. Put a check mark in the box Reset Update box to erase all previous update downloads.
  5. Select Get Updates.
  6. Restart QuickBooks.
  7. Install the new release.
